We are a family enamored with the earth. We enjoy together the cultivation and elaboration of these wonderful wines. For children it is like a game with which they learn a lot every year and for the parents, hard work that bears incredible fruit. See here our philosophy.
History
In our home we have always carefully cultivated the vineyard, though the last person who was directly involved in the cultivation of wine was our great-grandfather. Since then the art and science of wine cultivation was lost with the modernization of the field in the mid-twentieth century by delivering the grape to the cooperative.
But we have returned to the origin, continuing where our great-grandfather left off. Our wines are born from the value of the old traditions and the passion to do things with excellence. In short, we have merged the know-how of our ancestors with the best new knowledge and innovation, which allows us to create great wines with the flavor and emotion of yesteryear, together with the purity and perfection of today. Wines that are truly unique and inspiring.
Rafa
I was born in Venta del Moro, and though as a child I used to help work the vineyard at home, I started to truly know the wine when, while doing my university studies in agronomy, I worked for 8 seasons in the village bodega. This was the origin of a beautiful story where afterwards, Silvia and I began to make small elaborations at home, investigating and looking for the perfection of the Bobal variety. This passion led me back to university, but this time to start oenology and where I ended up doing my doctoral thesis in winemaking. When I finished my thesis, several years of real life elaboration practice, we finally achieved what we were looking for: a wine of supreme expression and whose soul could thrill.

I came to the world of wine at Rafa’s hand almost 30 years ago. Rafa was enamored with wine and that passion enveloped me to embark on a life project that has made possible what we have achieved today. For years we have recovered a valued, lost know-how, researching, studying and traveling intensely around the world to expand our knowledge of various wine elaborations in each region throughout Spain, but also in France, Italy, Portugal and Slovenia. It has been the compendium of all this that has allowed us to give birth to this very special family vision. A dream come true, with great effort, excitement, love and enthusiasm
